Course Description

PD2 Aspen HYSYS Training course teaches the simulation of production processes based on the basic principles of chemical engineering. Aspen HYSYS is a chemical process simulator used to mathematically model chemical processes, from unit operations to full chemical plants and refineries. HYSYS is able to perform many of the core calculations of chemical engineering, including those concerned with mass balance, energy balance, vapor-liquid equilibrium, heat transfer, mass transfer, chemical kinetics, fractionation, and pressure drop.HYSYS is used extensively in industry and academia for steady-state and dynamic simulation, process design, performance modelling, and optimization. Participants will learn in depth the Aspentech HYSYS program, the most widely used in the petrochemical industry, and apply it to real production processes.

At the end of the Course, you will be able to understand:
  • Basic concepts and main elements of Aspen HYSYS simulation software
  • The most practical industrial applications of software
  • How Aspen HYSYS can be helpful to make your calculations easier
  • The fundamental knowledge about mostly used unit operations in industry
  • How to use relevant unit operations in process flow diagrams
The course is extremely recommended for:
  • Chemical Engineers
  • Engineering Students
  • Industry Professionals
  • Beginners curious about seeing initial and ongoing process simulation of the plant
  • Process Engineers
